One thing that so many people keep asking me is how I got into the Scrapbooking business and why I started Beautiful Scrapbooks, the answer is simply that I love to scrap. I first fell upon Scrapbooking in the year 2000, and was impressed with what I saw, at the time the products were not readily available in South Africa and I had to make do with what limited variety we could get our hands on.
While I was enjoying this hobby, I was experiencing difficulties at my job at that time, wanting to make a change and because of my passion for scrapping, I saw an opportunity emerging, there was a gap in the market; I took a leap of faith and decided to open my own shop.
Due to cash restraints at the time, I started in the lounge of my house and from there it grew in strength until my husband built on to our garage, no sooner than when it was completed, we found that we had already outgrown the garage. Today you will find that not only is Beautiful Scrapbooks one of the largest Scrapbooking Stores on the East Rand, but we are also one of the biggest importers of new and innovative Scrapbooking products.
We strive to find any product you may be looking for, as it is not always possible to keep everything that is now available in stock….but with us importing monthly be sure to know that your hearts desire is a shipment away.
We run classes weekly with one of our stunning teachers: Ada Nicholls, Liane Van Harn, not to mention guest teachers doing the occasional packs like Bernice Pollock & more.
